Preschool

Early childhood education at Makassed Omar Ben El Khattab College (OBK) shapes academic, emotional, social, and physical growth. Investing in every young learner helps maximize wellbeing and long-term success. Our preschool places the child at the center of teaching and learning. Qualified teachers use Montessori-inspired strategies — hands-on activities, collaboration, and self-directed exploration — to strengthen critical thinking, independence, creativity, and teamwork. The curriculum follows a multidisciplinary approach designed for 21st-century learners. STEM learning begins early, including robotics from K1. Arabic, English, and French are taught through literacy, arts, music, mathematics, science, technology, and movement, alongside Islamic education and character development rooted in Makassed values. Beyond academics, children enjoy indoor and outdoor sports, dance, free play, music, and other enrichment experiences that foster curiosity and joy on our Beirut campus.

Elementary School

Elementary education at OBK helps children master reading, writing, and mathematics while developing creativity, character, critical thinking, sound judgment, and social-emotional wellbeing. Our Elementary Department offers a six-year program (Grades 1–6) within a caring community that differentiates instruction for diverse learner needs. Students follow the Lebanese Program — required for Lebanese nationals and available to non-Lebanese families who choose it. Core subjects, including mathematics and sciences, are taught in English. Arabic and English are main languages of study; French is taught as a second language. History, geography, and civics are taught in Arabic.

Intermediate School

During the intermediate years, students build strong study habits, take ownership of learning, and grow into independent lifelong learners. Grades matter — and so does a healthy attitude toward school. OBK’s Intermediate Department supports young teens through this important stage with a three-year program (Grades 7–9) that prepares students for the official Lebanese Brevet examination. The Lebanese Program is offered to Lebanese students and to students of other nationalities who wish to enroll. Mathematics and sciences are taught in English. English and Arabic are major languages; French is taught as a second language. History, geography, and civics are taught in Arabic.

Secondary School

The Secondary Department at Makassed Omar Ben El Khattab College prepares students for official examinations and future pathways beyond school. Learners benefit from academic rigor, counseling support, leadership opportunities, and university guidance on our Tarik Jedideh campus in Beirut. Programs include Lebanese and foreign pathways designed to help each student pursue the next step with confidence — whether that is further study in Lebanon or abroad.

STEAM Education

At Makassed Omar Ben El Khattab College, STEAM is a hands-on, cross-curricular journey where students tackle real-world challenges through Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics. From coding and robotics to AI and design thinking, learners research, build, test, refine, and present solutions with confidence.
